Law Keep-Away

Here at Practical Occult we do not shy away from the truth that magic is real, works to change lives and is a potent force of agency for individuals. 

To this end, we also stress that if your magic does not liberate you, it is insufficient. We aim always to provide magic that is more than sufficient in the form of education, amulets, divination and consultation. 

Given people’s understandable concerns in the world today, a brief discussion on sorcerous methods of keeping aggressive legal activity away from the individual is necessary. In the world as-is, everything is getting more expensive, more constricting and more uncertain. Now, as in times of yore, operative sorcery is the solution that comes often after all other endeavors have been exhausted. 

Some spells to consider:

Drawing the SATOR square on four railroad spikes and driving them into the corners of a property or boundaries of a neighborhood with the spikes impaling the logo, image, sigil or crest of an opposing force in the day and hour of Saturn while calling upon the archangel of Saturn, Cassiel, to help prevent the ingress of those hostile powers into this space is an excellent and immediate spell that can be done. This could be further empowered if said spell is continually refreshed and offerings of candles and incense given weekly to Cassiel to continue to hold the line. 

The Fourth Pentacle of the Sun can be used to enhance spiritual sight but also, if used against someone, can be aimed to expose the true spirit of that individual. The utility of that should be evident. 

Taking the Sixth Pentacle of the Sun (bought from us or created on paper), and petitioning its spirits to hide people or even places from scrutiny is another clutch move. Printing this amulet out on paper in the day and hour of the Sun and petitioning its archangel Michael to empower it and writing your petition on the back is a great and easy way to begin to engage with this. 

Candle spells using the Seventh Pentacle of the Sun should not be slept on, either. This is an amulet of liberation, yes, but also a good pre-emptive strike against capture. Burning a white candle atop a paper Seventh of the Sun with your name and birth date written on the back along with the petition that chains may not find their way around you is a deeply effective move. 

If Servitors are your move, creating several to act as decoys, distractions and sentries of personal or community defense is another excellent strategy. 

Printing out the photos of specific intrusive individuals (along with names and birthdays harvested from social media) and placing them in jar spells full of vinegar, poppy seeds, red peppers and fish hooks is a great way to confuse and distract them. Don’t forget to enliven each ingredient! 

Realizing that a hyssop bath associated with psalm 51 doesn’t just spiritually cleanse you but can be enlivened in the same way to cleanse you *in the minds of others* which effectively makes you seem innocent and blameless. This special trick is one that is often overlooked and under-utilized. 

Other Psalms like 91 and 23 go well with Law Keep-Away spells to not only layer protections but also boost personal good luck. We could all use some luck during trying times, surely.
