The Mercurial Mind

Mercury

In an age of digital road openings and fast-paced shifting of structures of society, the magician’s best friend is often the powers of Mercury.

Here at Practical Occult, we aren’t shy about stacking those boons atop eachother for the truly discerning individual. While individually, the Mercury pentacles change lives, sift through the sands of time and reframe the mind, to lay claim to so many at one time is truly a boon.

Before going into more detail, a quick review of the powers of these amulets is in order.

On the Mercurial Mind bracelet one finds the following:

The First Pentacle of Mercury.–It serveth to invoke the Spirits who are under the Firmament.

The Second Pentacle of Mercury–The Spirits herein written serve to bring to effect and to grant things which are contrary unto the order of Nature; and which are not contained under any other head. They easily give answer, but they can with difficulty be seen.

The Third Pentacle of Mercury–This and the following serve to invoke the Spirits subject unto Mercury; and especially those who are written in this Pentacle.

The Fourth Pentacle of Mercury–This is further proper to acquire the understanding and Knowledge of all things created, and to seek out and penetrate into hidden things; and to command those Spirits which are called Allatori to perform embassies. They obey very readily.

The Fifth and Last Pentacle of Mercury–This commandeth the Spirits of Mercury, and serveth to open doors in whatever way they may be closed, and nothing it may encounter can resist it.

And, finally, a Mercury pentacle from the Veritable Key of Solomon for Success of negotiators, travelers and students.

Now, it doesn’t take long to begin to see the infinite and immediate uses for this series of miracle-working talismans resting on the wrist of any occultist typing away at a keyboard, doing divinations, laboring deep into a research rabbit hole or trying to plumb the depths, literally or figuratively, of mysteries in life. Treasure hunters in every sense of the phrase would find themselves aided by spirits, walking fully opened roads and blessed with uncanny good luck as they strode ahead in life.
How might one employ all of these at once? Why approach the full suite of Mercurial majesty rather than a standalone pentacle? The answer is direct and inspirational.

Who among us in 2022 aren’t said to be students forever learning new skills, negotiators who ceaselessly vie for greater and greater purchase in the world of work and travelers always in search of new vistas in life? Being already blessed by the final pentacle on the bracelet, surely one would be doubly so with the Fifth of Mercury opening the ways to that success. Further still, the Fourth of Mercury summoning the spirits of the Allatori to aid in learning and expansion of the mind. This is further aided by the Third of Mercury and the First of Mercury. Finally, to give it an even bigger punch, the Second of Mercury’s claims at literal miracle-making tie up this package neatly.

In short, this chain of quicksilver power, snaking around the wrist of a sorcerous individual, is nothing less than a key to a kingdom of new wonder in life if employed tactically and with the boldness that befits the fleet god of Mercury himself.

Product Details

This exquisite scrying mirror, dedicated to the Goddess Hekate, is inspired by a base discovered in Sardis and dated to the 1st century CE.

One of each of the 3 faces of the goddess is carved carefully into each corner. A crescent moon crowns each head, and each figure holds a torch, a whip, a key, a dagger or a serpent.

Meticulously placed, the original Greek intonations ΔΙΟΝ, ΦΟΙΒΗ, and ΛΥΚỊẠ speak to the relationship between Hekate and the other deities, as well as acknowledges her power over the art of divination. The final epithet, ΑΜΙΒΟΥCΑ, appears at the feet of each Hekate figure, possibly symbolizing her ability to affect change as an intermediary between the gods and those who appeal to her.

The triangle measures 8 inches on each side, and comes with its own wooden stand. It is constructed from steel with a copper mirror, and lightly coated to prevent rust and tarnish. [powr-form-builder id=”2876fcce_1617745929″]
