From the Key of Solomon: “This serveth in addition (to the effects of the two preceding) to acquire Kingdom and Empire, to inflict loss, and to acquire renown and glory, especially through the Name of God, Tetragrammaton, which therein is twelve times contained.”

Sovereignty. What IS sovereignty? How can the Third Pentacle of the Sun aid us to gain sovereignty, to build an empire, to magnify all as Sol magnifies all?

The domain of the Sun, of Sol, is the realm of Illumination, of keen vision, of splendor and riches and glory, and so much more. As the Sun shines upon us every day, Sol reveals all, guiding our path forward. The Third Pentacle of the Sun, as with many other pentacles of Solomon, is the veritable calling card to the magnificence of Helios Apollo, to the ineffable power of Tetragrammaton, and the four angels, Paimoniah, Rhekodiah, Shemeshiel, and Malkhiel. This pentacle is a mirror, capable of mirroring the grace of Sol upon us and upon our lives. But how do we work with this pentacle, how can we integrate its power into our lives, to build and grow and magnify our victory, wealth, etc.?

One recommendation is having a dedicated space, such as a Sol or wealth altar, a consecrated shrine to act as a vessel in your home or work, that allows the light of Sol to fill our lives. I suggest every Sunday, waking just before sunrise. Bathing, fumigating yourself and home with Frankincense, changing into clean clothes, even gold or yellow or orange, and taking to this altar.

As you stand before this altar, Burn frankincense and benzoin on a charcoal disk, anoint a gold candle with an oil sacred to your purpose, or even olive oil, saying ” As I anoint this candle to Sol, I also anoint myself and my life in the light of the Sun, evermore crowned in victory and riches!”. Anoint your forehead. Lift this candle to the Heavens, even better to the Sun. Stand before this altar, hands to the heavens, and sing the Orphic Hymn to Helios Apollo, with adoration and an open heart. Grasp the Third Pentacle of the Sun, in your hands, looking upon it as one might a mirror. Speak aloud “By El and Tetragrammaton, by my power and authority, We call thee forth Paimoniah, Rhekodiah, Shemshiel, Malkhiel! Come forth, Aid the light of Sol to ever shine upon us, through the Third Pentacle of the Sun, we are ever crowned in victory, ever successful, our renown and glory and wealth is ever magnified!”

I recommend speaking to and breathing upon your pentacle, as you might whispering into a lover’s ear. Fumigate your pentacle, in benzoin and frankincense, placing the Third Pentacle of the Sun before your candle / on Sol’s altar. Sit before this space. Envision what YOUR kingdom, what your sovereignty looks like, embrace what it FEELS like. How does it feel to have every need provided? How does it feel to be king or queen?

The thing about Sovereignty is that it must be shared. To be a sovereign is to also lift others up. We are all deserving and worthy of the finest things this world has to offer. Do not let fear or doubt cloud your mind or work. Lift others up. There is more than enough for us all. Those of us who grew up in poverty must shift how we think, what we believe, and what motivates our actions. We must change the story behind money and resources, as well as, how the world treats us. We can not see ourselves as prey or unworthy, while claiming a crown that won’t currently fit our head. Claim your throne.
