This, perhaps more than any other pentacle in the catalog of Solomonic magic, is one that can propel someone’s life from one level to another, and another and another. Applied correctly, this shimmering gold disc can be armor against the world, a key to the halls of movers and shakers and a hammer to shatter enemies. In no uncertain terms, this pentacle is powerful. Also, in no uncertain terms, this pentacle can be one of the more intense one can own.

“This serveth (in addition to the effects of the two preceding) to acquire Kingdom and Empire, to inflict loss, and to acquire renown and glory, especially through the Name of God, Tetragrammaton, which therein is twelve times contained.” Before one gets into the abilities of this pentacle, the implied effects of the other two need to be explained.

While it is unnecessary to explain this, it is important to note that the third of the Sun does anchor these abilities in a more corporeal, material world for the aid of the magician.

The glamour that rests as a mantle upon the shoulders of the magician who owns this is more aggressive than the one typically found in a lot of magic, even magic designed to bring power and authority to the magician. This opens some intense doors. Be ready.

This is the ideal pentacle for someone who wants to be seen on their own world-stage. The light of the Sun is cast upon the owner of this item in such a way as to magnify their greatness, their abilities and their successes. So much so, in fact, that it can leave a person feeling like even mediocre victories are considered conquests in their line of work. It’s fair to say that this magic burns the legacy of its owner into the minds of observers with the heat and fury of a solar flare.

So profound is this fire that one will also find one’s competition suffering. The loss inflicted on your foes is not merely due to your victory. Even though as one wins, surely must another lose, this goes deeper than that. This pentacle magnifies the flaws of those around you who would thwart you as much as it does your own good qualities and talents. Any blemish, any character flaw is brought into stark resolution in the gaze of the masses when turned upon your foes. Rightly so, if you are bold enough to wear the seal of a heaven-sent king, emblazoned with the name of God a dozen times.

The victory of the Sun is the victory of an Emperor. Kind to your court and conquering to your foes and their holdings. This item will make things yours that were not before, be they literal items that find their way into your possession, job responsibilities that previously occupied other people who were rivals to you or even once-in-a-lifetime chances to change your stars, seemingly drifting from the hands of others to you.

In some ways there is no better year than this one to obtain such a magical item. More than a few people feel blighted, overlooked and overburdened in the wake of the events of 2020. Let this be your weapon, if you are someone who would claim victory or your shield if you would defend what is already yours. While it could hardly say that this pentacle is kind, the nature of its ruling planet is not necessarily, either. The rays of the sun both give life and scorch it out of living things. If you feel you are in need of a fearsome majesty that you can carry in your pocket or wear around your neck, this may be the item for you.
